Up to five files. A 300 DPI A4 page needs about 35 MB for one RGBA canvas; large images and lossless output can require several times that. Start at 150 DPI on phones.

Options

300 DPI
150600

Choose the resolution your document needs. Large pages are reduced to fit the rendering limits; higher DPI cannot recover missing scan detail.

Default 92. Lower values trade fidelity for smaller files.

What gets removed

/Author /Title /Subject /KeywordsIdentity and topic fields in the document information dictionary — cleared.
/Creator /ProducerThe authoring application and the export library name — cleared.
/CreationDate /ModDateCreation and modification timestamps — cleared, not replaced.
Text layerThe original selectable text layer is removed from every page. Visible words remain readable and can be recognized with OCR.
Embedded fontsDiscarded with the vector content — font names and licence tags go with them.
Annotations · forms · links · bookmarks · attachmentsFlattened into the image or dropped. The output is a new file built only from the rendered pages.

What remains · limits

KeptPage count, page size and orientation, and the visual appearance at the chosen resolution. Visible content is retained; this is not visible-text redaction.
SearchThe exported PDF has no selectable text layer. OCR software can recover text from its page images.
Not redactionFlattening is not redaction and is not a confidentiality guarantee. It removes the text layer and metadata; it does not conceal anything a reader can see on the page.
EncryptionMetadata cleanup is not anonymity. Password-protected PDFs are not supported — decrypt first, then process.
MemoryProcessing is in-memory. Single-page renders are capped at 45 megapixels (12,000 px on the long side); long documents at 600 DPI can exhaust a browser tab.
File sizeUsually grows — vector text becomes image data. The JPEG quality slider is the trade-off control.

First-page preview. The structural audit covers every page; inspect the downloaded PDF for full-size visual review.
